Geocache Description:

A mini trail of three easy caches created by SuperLizzy, GeoGodders1 & AlyNorth. This trail will take you along a footpath in the village of Copford. It consists of: GC48MM7 Let’s Go For A Strawberry S…troll GC4D9BB Holey Moley GC4MZJG Where On The Corner?

Great for a short walk with the kids or a stroll with the dogs. If you’re feeling energetic after the third cache, carry on the footpath, through the farm, up to Church Road, along the field and back down through Copford Woods. The Copford Church geocache (GC1N58W) has parking (see additional waypoint), why not try that cache too (if you haven’t already), or just admire the pretty church and grounds. There are also a few caches in the village that would fit in nicely with these caches. The trail starts at the footpath sign near the road entrance to Copford Church/Copford Cricket Club/Copford Hall. It is approximately half a mile from the start to the third cache at the end. We wouldn’t recommend using a bike, only because even though the path is wide enough in most places, the ground is a little uneven and slightly sloped in places. Clumsy Mum (AlyNorth) fell off hers! The Roman River is a little overgrown on either side of the footpath, so the path narrows off a bit. Please supervise children as this mini trail takes you over the river and near to a pond further along. We placed these caches in September and the river contained plenty of fish, so maybe bring a little bit of bread/food to feed them. Two out of the three caches contain swapsies, so feel free to come prepared to swap items. The footpath is occasionally used by dog walkers, so listen out for those pesky muggles when you’re searching! Finally, thank you for taking the time to do our caches! We do hope you enjoy them? GC48MM7: The first of three. You're looking for a bright small container but it's camo'd up. It contains a logbook, a pen, some some owl rubbers, a novelty mobile phone rubber and some Angry Bird croc tags - fun swapsies, great for kids. Please closely supervise children as it's near water. The path gets a bit narrow for the last couple of metres and there are a few nettles on either side, so just be careful. You may want to bring a slice of bread, as the river had plenty of fish swimming around when we placed it (September). Please replace exactly where found. Thanks.
