The cache is placed at Dartford's new permanent beacon which has been installed near the Dartford river crossing Bridge. The beacon was lit for the first time by two year-old Dartford resident Darcey Belle Baldock in front of the Mayor of Dartford Ann Allen, Council Leader Jeremy Kite and an estimated 300 local people. The location was specially chosen to reflect a long tradition of beacons being lit along the banks of the River Thames.
