Okukuji Nantaisan (Mountaintop)
Okukuji Nantaisan is one of the famous mountains in Ibaraki prefecture with an elevation of 654 m. You will feel a sense of exaltation at the sight of the great rock face if you approach from Saigane.
There are several trails to the top. They have been developed quite so well. Unfortunately, all signboards are written in Japanese. Therefore, you have to remember the Japanese characters such as "男体山(Mt. Nantai)" and "山頂(Top of the mountain)". There is the triangulation station at the top. Many people take rest around there throughout the year because of the nice view point.
My favorite route is as follows. I start hiking from 古分屋敷(Kobunyashiki) or 大円地(Ooenji). There is a small parking lot. I turn left at the first branch to "健脚(hardy hiker)コース". It takes about 1 hour to the top. After enjoying the scenery, I go back to Kobunyashiki with "一般(general)コース".
This cache is placed near the top of the mountain using magnets. You will see a signboard as shown in Fig. 1 at the shown coordinates. The values of A to D can be obtained from it. These values indicate the actual elevation of the triangulation station. This cache is placed at

If you hate the calculation, please seek the cache about 50m away from the shown coordinates. It is fixed NOT using magnets. Please look for something made of steel. The cache is around it.

奥久慈男体山 (山頂)
この山は茨城県を代表する名山のひとつであると思います。標高は654mと決して高くはないのですが、西金から登山口にいく途中にみる岩壁は荒々しく、これから登る山に高揚を感じると思います。
むかしからよく登られている山なので登山道はきちんと整備されています。最近では毎年春に開催される奥久慈トレイルの通過点になっているようなので、ハイキングはもちろん、コースによっては駆け足で登っていくことも可能だと思います。山頂には一等三角点が敷設されています。眺めはすばらしく、四季を通じて大勢が訪れます。晴れた休日にいくと休む場所を確保するのにも苦労すると思います。
私のおすすめは、古分屋敷(大円地)から健脚コースで登り、一般コースで下るというものです。古分屋敷には駐車スペースがあります。（満車になることも多いです）
このキャッシュは山頂付近に設置しました。考えていた設置場所が立入禁止のようでしたので、すみませんがマルチにさせていただきます。表示の座標の場所には一等三角点があり、目の前にFig. 1のような標識があります。A-Dの値を読んでください。これは三角点の標高なのですが、現在は精密測量の結果Dの値が異なっています。キャッシュは次の座標の場所にあります。

山の上で計算なんて面倒という方もおられると思います。その場合は、キャッシュは表示の座標から50mほど離れた場所にあります。磁石がつきそうな物体の近くを探してください。
