Geocache Description:

We thought this valley deserved another cache so we added a new challenging one!!

Wied il-Ghasel is also known as Valley of Honey. Its name originates from the honey, which used to be present in great quantities in the past. This valley in Mosta is quite scenic and is still to be considered as a relatively natural haven, given the cost of modern development which spares nothing. Situated in a natural cave in the side of Honey Vale is St.Paul’s the Hermit Chapel, which was erected at around 1656. Walking is one of the best ways to discover and experience Honey Vale’s beauty, wildlife and cultural heritage.

The cache is located at about two storeys from the valley bed and will require some basic climbing skills, and also face some thorns!  You will find a small flat area were one can relax and enjoy the view. Trekking shoes are recommended. Also, keep in mind that this is a valley so it would not be wise to go after heavy rain.  Doing it at night is possible but you have to be very confident with your climbing skills then and it will be quite hard to find the correct (easiest) path up!
Cache is a small box and can accommodate small TBs
