Geocache Description:

Welcome to the Edwin B Forsythe National Wildlife Refuge Game Farm.

This area, part of the former New Jersey State Game Farm, has been closed to the public due to safety concerns since the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service acquired it in 2002. Thirteen structures sat on the restoration site in various states of disrepair, including an 18th century home, sheds, and bird pens.T he Service purchased 460 acres of the former game farm from the State of New Jersey in 2002 with $3.1 million in funding from the Land and Water Conservation Fund and the Migratory Bird Conservation Fund. From 1912 until the mid-1980s, the New Jersey State Game Farm raised pheasants and quail for recreational hunting programs. It was one of the first facilities of its kind in the U.S.

Approximately 75 acres of wildlife habitat at Edwin B. Forsythe National Wildlife Refuge is being restored thanks to American Recovery and Reinvestment Act funds.

We like to bike over by this area. Nice dead end road. Go past the church and the boys home and you will find this micro. Log only so BYOP!  You can drive right up to the cache.
No need to go past any no trespassing signs. Bring an extraction tool with you and a Pen.

Congrats to kayakdannj on the FTF
