Completed in 2009, the Reber Trail runs from the west end of Fairview Avenue to the end of Reber Road off West Hill.
If you park at the end of Fairvew Avenue, you'll have a section of access road to walk before you veer left on the trail. This road can be muddy and puddle filled! GREAT fun for kids!
The trail itself is wide and hard pack gravel. There are several switchbacks as it winds its way up to Reber Road. The final stretch to the top (or the first stretch down if you start at the top) is fairly steep.
All along the trail are stunning views of Kachemak Bay. If you're there in the right season, you'll be surrounded by blooming fireweed as you stroll along.
Cache update Aug 10, 2016: Cache container is now a camo mega-bison containing a logbook. Bring your own pencil!
