Geocache Description:

Lockheed Martin Satellite Tracking Station was officially opened in 1999. The role of the station is to track satellites which have been launched from various sites around the world. The satellites are tracked so that commands can be sent to correctly position each satellite and prepare it for operation.

The station was relocated from Guam because of better weather conditions and still near the same longitude.....though much colder! It can be seen through the trees to the east. Access is allowed by appointment only.

A view of Mt Duval and CSIRO Research Station can be seen to the north.

Lift the ONE to reveal the cache.

The cache hide has been made from skip bin materials from work and is not part of public property .

Take fingers away from cache when closing lid.
