Location Information
This is a beauty spot with lovely views. Watch out for all the muggles!.
I love the view from here - one of my favourite views.

The Devils Kneading trough, a dry valley which was formed as the last ice sheet retreated. It is in the National Nature Reserve at Wye and the views from the top are far reaching across Romney Marsh.

Views across the downs

This spectacular scenery was originally formed about 100,000 BC when upward earth movements produced a dome which was subsequently eroded to create the Downs.
The hills are characterised by steep-sided dry valleys of which the Devils Kneading Trough is the largest and most famous. Continual freezing and thawing of the soil during the later glacial period caused the thawed mud to ooze slowly downhill like ‘porridge to form this dramatic valley.

Views across the downs

Car parking is available, but this is a very busy and popular site.
