Geocache Description:

This cache is hidden just up the hill from a beautiful little church in the village of Luins.

Cette cache se trouve près d'une petite église pittoresque dans le village de Luins.

Records show that L'Eglise Saint-Pierre dates back as far as 1393. Though the church was almost fully rebuilt in between 1672 and 1674, its 15th century gothic bell tower remained. After the steep walk up the hill to the church, you can sit and admire the fantastic panoramic views. The cache is hidden further up the hill in a small patch of woodland. Watch out for the thorn bush nearby!! If you continue up past the cache hiding place, you'll find the Refuge du Devens where there is a barbecue and picnic area. If you're up for a longer hike, you can join the Sentier des Châtaignes and head up into the forest. Happy caching!!! *Easter prize for the FTF!*
