This is our first cache, and we have started with a nice easy one, placed in the Ulleries Road end of Olton Park. Unfortunately, and typical of our luck, the original hiding place (a tree near to the stream) - was chopped down and shredded into tiny little bits! So this is a replacement now. We hope this replacement doesn't put the tree at risk of a similarly grizzly fate.
Olton Jubilee Park opened in the 1930's to commemorate the coronation of King George V, which took place in 1913. We have read somewhere that the Vicar of St. Margarets at the time played a big role in petitioning for a park for the local people of Olton, and / or providing the land. If anyone has details on this, let us know and we will update the description.
