Geocache Description:

Only access to the island is by boat.  Best time to visit is during high tide due to the mud.  Access on the north side of the island near the cache.  There you will see a short bluff with a few trees that have their roots exposed to climb up.

Cache is part of the CACHE TO EAGLE series of geocaches.  This series of geocaches are at or near the location of a Boy Scouts of America Eagle Scout Project that has been completed for the community.  At this location an Eagle Scout built two camp platforms for use on the island.  The platforms were built on the mainland then transported by boat to the island.  The island is part of the North Florida Land Trust and they request that you contact them during normal business hours at 904-463-0513.  Speak to Bonnie Barnes to schedule your visit.  No charge to visit, just need to follow the rules. Visit for a short time or stay and camp. CONGRATULATIONS TO BOBANDROBIN FOR BEING THE FIRST TO FIND!
