Geocache Description:

A series of favorite and recommended restaurants by AlaskaCariboozer and SnowySwan.  We hope you will stop in and enjoy the atmosphere and maybe even try some of our recommendations whether it is while you are seeking the cache or another time.

If you haven't noticed yet, the GZ is not a restaurant.  Due to other caches in the area, we had to get more creative and further away than we wanted.  Look south.  In the same mall as a bike shop, wine shop, and shoe shop, you will find the reason for this cache.  If SnowySwan had to choose just ONE favorite in the whole municipality, THIS WOULD BE THE ONE.  This southside American/European restaurant is always fairly busy due to the food, reasonable prices, excellent waitstaff and chic atmosphere.  In a way, it has a similar feel to a popular restaurant downtown on the water that starts and ends with an "S."  Like that restaurant, here you will find people celebrating life moments dressed to the nines or just stopping in for lunch or dinner dressed in their jeans.  Sit on the "Bistro" side for a more casual meal and a modified menu.  There is a beer and wine bar and sometimes the owner will serve you personally.  Recommended dishes include: the Bistro Burger, the Thin-crust Pizza, Cream of Sundried Tomato and Garlic Soup, Black Tiger Prawns and Kodiak Scallops (the pineapple salsa really makes this decadent), the Medallions of Veal with Brie and Swedish lingon berries and scalloped potatoes (such a nice marriage of flavors!), and the Angel Hair pasta,   One side that is not only recommended, but should be REQUIRED is the Chevre salad.  Note: they are closed on Sundays and Mondays as in the European tradition.  From our family to yours!
