This small series of caches are placed on a narrow country lane starting in the village of Thorngumbald and ending at the tiny hamlet of Cherry Cobb Sands. If you follow the road to the end you will come to Stoney Creek, here you can take in views of the creek itself or go for a wander down the banks of the Humber - great for dog walking. If you cross the creek over the bridge this brings you to Sunk Island which is an area of highly fertile land reclaimed from the sea.
The series can be done all on foot which would be approx 3 miles upto Cherry Cobb but bearing in mind it is not a circular or it can be done in car with some walking. Please note the lane is a popular dog walking area so stealth may be required on some caches, also the lane is used by farming vehicles so please park sensibly and take care if walking.
There is no immediate parking at this cache site, please DO NOT park in the driveways of the nearby house. There is parking at a lay by at the start of the lane before the cache or at a pull in after the cache.
