Geocache Description:

This cache is located along the D & R Canal State Park hiking trail about 0.98 miles north of the Scudders Falls parking in Ewing. The cache is a small container with a logbook and some trade items.

The cache is located near where Jacob's Creek passes under the canal and into the Delaware River. You must walk down a steep slope to get to the cache. Be careful and walk on a diagonal to lessen the steepness.

This is an extention of a group of caches I am placing on this lower part of the D & R Canal State Park hiking trail which follows the abandoned railroad tracks. Think of it as a mini power trail to make your walk along this part of the trail more interesting. I hope you enjoy your travels along the D & R Canal. Scenic views are available all along the way. Good hunting! NOTE: When the river is high, this cache MAY be under water as the Delaware River backs up into Jacob's Creek. Have patience, the water will eventually go down and the cache WILL NOT wash away.
