This is the third year for our Spring Fling at Camp Woodsmoke. The event is on Saturday, June 15th starting at 10am. You are invited to stay the weekend, Friday 4pm to Sunday 12 noon. There are cabins, campsites, shower/restroom facilities, refrigerator/freezer space, hiking trails, and caches to find. Fun for all. Children invited to attend with parents or grandparents!
SPRING FLING CAMP WOODSMOKE III EVENT
COMMENCES ON JUNE 15, 2012 AT 10:00 A.M.
June 14 (arrival after 4:00 P.M.), June 15 (Event activities begin at 10:00 A.M.), June 16(depart at noon). Stay the entire weekend or just join in the fun on Saturday! BRING THE KIDS!!! Location: A nature's masterpiece, Camp Woodsmoke is located two miles east of Clarksburg, Indiana. This stunning camp is proudly owned and operated by the Lions Clubs of District 25F.
There is no charge for the event, although a donation to help maintain Camp Woodsmoke would be appreciated. Camp is fully handicapped accessible. This is a private camp so there is no admittance to camp before the named dates! Camp will be open to the public for the event on June 15, 2012. Camp Woodsmoke is only 20-30 minutes away from the historic village of Metamora, Rushville, and Greensburg, Indiana.
ACCOMATATIONS: Provided on a first come, first served basis. Bring your tent, camper, or share a cabin (11 sleeping cabins available). The cabins sleep 8-10 campers, have cots, electricity, and are heated. Four cabins have 1/2 baths. Shower/restroom facilities are located near the cabins. Attendees please email palestar1@yahoo.com a.s.a.p. if you intend to spend the weekend. Please let me know if you want a cabin or are bringing a tent or camper.
MEALS: Bring you own food for Friday evening...we will have s'mores around a campfire. A continental breakfast will be provided Saturday morning. A pitch-in lunch will be held Saturday at 12 noon. A cook-out (with hot dogs, buns and toppings provided by the committee) and any donated food items you may have, on Saturday night. Sunday morning breakfast provide by reservation only.
Large refrigerator, freezer space and charcoal grills are available. The 264 wooded acres of Camp Woodsmoke holds ownership of four unique and truly beautiful trails including a fully accessible trail for handicapped. Caches will be hidden on all trails for your enjoyment. There will be special activities for the children. Swag in, swag out for caches as usual. Bring plenty of items to share.
THINGS TO BRING: Food, Lawn chairs, coolers with ice, boots for hiking, flat twin sheets/sleeping bags/blankets, pillow, towels and washcloths, personal items, playing cards, outdoor games, GPS, etc.
Door prizes will be awarded. Let's trade travel bugs, geocoins, etc. We have planned a wagon ride for Saturday evening! Join us in friendship and fun at the third annual Spring Fling in the beauty of Camp Woodsmoke in South-east Indiana.
