As we were driving the country roads of Yankton County one day, we came across the Stone Church Road. Of course, we had to follow the road to see if it really would lead us to a stone church. It did and there we met a local farmer and member of the church. We had missed this cemetery and did not realize it was here until he told us about it.
This is the original site of the James River Lutheran Church (1871 - 1936).
This cache was first made available to attendees of the 4th Annual Yankton Spring Caching Event. It will be published for the general community on Saturday, May 4, 2013.
