I love camping! I love geocaching! Join me for a weekend of geocaching fun at DeSoto State Park. Campsites are available in the improved and primitive campgrounds or if you are not a camper, check out the cabins and chalets at the state park - they're awesome!
This meet and greet event will be a pot luck supper around 5:00 p.m. at my campsite in the campground for all those who are camping. Bring your favorite camping dish, your own drink and a chair if you don't like sitting on the ground. Join me for some geocaching fellowship and then you might want to stroll over to the campfire ring for the state park's campfire talks.
The posted coordinates are a central location in the campground. Because the park will not assign campsites prior to arrival, I will not be able to post exact coordinates for my campsite. Look for signs to point you in the right direction. (I'm a tent camper so don't look for some fancy RV!)

Check the state park website for campground details and to make your reservations. DeSoto State Park has awesome hiking and biking trails and they love geocachers! They have been very accommodating while setting up this weekend of fun events. Here is a list of other weekend events to look forward to:
