Geocache Description:


We call this area the Campaspe Rest Stop but it's proper name is Rochester North Rest Area.  In the past this has been a fantastic place with the Campaspe River winding it's way slowly to Echuca. If you follow the tracks around the river you will find a spot to throw in a line and perhaps catch  a Redfin, Yellow Belly or of course you may only catch a Carp!!!

Sadly the area is suffering neglect. It's a shame people don't follow the rules of stopping or camping in places like this and that is 'trash in, trash out'. 
This is a dedicated 'free camp' but no facilities are available. It is suitable for Caravans and Big Rigs.

The cache is a bit sneaky and we ask that you take care with the area and replace it as you found it.
Keep an eye out for your children and pets and of course watch out for snakes in hot weather.
