El barrio de Nervión se concibió en torno a un eje central situado en la Gran Plaza en 1916. Desde 2005, junto con otros barrios vecinos, conforma uno de los once distritos municipales de Sevilla, de denominación homónima. Tiene una población de 16.129 habitantes.

Nervión is the main financial and commercial area of the city of Sevilla. Nervión neighbourhood was conceived around the axis placed at the Gran Plaza in 1916. Since 2005, with the closer neighbourhoods, is one of the eleven municipal districts of Sevilla. Its population is of 16.129 habitants.
