Geocache Description:

The cache is located on Scoggins Valley Road at a small access point to one of the prettiest views of the lake.  Quite frequently elk can be seen in this field grazing and bedding down.

This cache is right off the road and is thus on the public right-of-way so brief stops should not require a permit but if you decide you want to take a walk or look around you're going to need to buy a park pass.  There is a $5 entrance fee if you want to leave your vehicle and enjoy the park. The entrance fee is generally in effect from March-October but there are several caches in the area so the $5 is totally worth it if you're out for a day of caching and outdoor fun.

I take no responsibility for any tickets you receive while in the park but since I live nearby and have never received a ticket for stopping briefly along side the road I'm going to go with it's probably safe but the ultimate decision is up to you.

I was originially going to hide this one in Forest Grove's Thatcher Park and had already written the cache name on the first page of the log book so, being the lazy bum that I am, I decided to keep, at least in part, the original cache name .

You're looking for a well camouflaged cache somewhere between a small and regular size able to hold small swag items.  I usually forget to put a writing utensile in the caches I place so BYOP just in case.

I'll be interested to see what fellow cacher's think of the rating.

Cache safe!
