BSRT - Clashing country Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Fergzter: Must confess I have been meaning to get to this one for a while but it's outside my permissable bubble. Since placement the area has developed somewhat and it really is not that great a place for a cache anymore. Archiving to open up the map. Thanks to all who found. I will pick up what remains next time I do a maintenance run.

Geocache Description:

The Ballarat-Skipton Rail Trail in Western Victoria, Australia, runs 53 kilometres from western Ballarat, southwest through Haddon, Smythesdale and Pittong to Skipton.

The trail was in poor condition for many years before being upgraded and resurfaced in 2008.The new surface is "compacted granitic sand".

This area highlights the changing countryside as development overruns farmland.
