It is my understanding that 50 Shades of Grey is not a beautiful thing so I have created a geotrail to highlight the many interesting colors on a nice lonely highway. This road is used by coal trucks traveling to a local tipple so choose your parking spots wisely. Cache on!
Nope not a real color. Gussie was a local pharmacist in Curwensville when I was growing up (yea like I've ever grown up! I'm still playing games!). Gussie was very well known and respected by all. He gave of his time and his sweat to our community. In addition to being a pharmacist, he was a master stone mason. Curwensville was known, and still is, for its high quality sandstone that was quarried here. Gussie quarried his own stone and hand loaded the stones into his truck using planks. Local works include the the base for the old school bell, a monument at the Oak Hill Cemetary, a monument at the Crown Crest Cemetary, and a monument at the base of Bridgeport Road. This cache is hidden among the sandstone rocks that Gussie quarried with a fantastic view of a series of waterfalls.
