This is a resurgence of cache "GC229FJ Spring Lake Outlet" which I decided to archive to make room for a paddle cache.
Should be fairly easy to find, but there are a number of fallen trees to climb over (under). There are also a couple of wet areas to transverse close to the cache (bring suitable boots).
This is one of my favorite trails in the area. Enjoy this nice 1/2 mile hike along an old trail from the parking lot. If you continue past the cache for about 1/10 mile you will reach the end of the trail where the original cache was located. You will have views of the outlet itself. There you will be able to enjoy the solitude. There are beavers and some blue herons at the outlet.
Spring Lake is fed by underground springs and has no inlet and a single outlet. It used to be named Otter Lake and the area around here was owned by the Spring family.
Congratulations to Sciuchetti with the FTF!!!
