A lakótelep az 1980-as években épült, korábban szőlőskertek voltak itt. A beépítés ötletét a ’70-es években tapasztalható lakáshiány és a közelben lévő házgyár adta. A Tócóskertben inkább a tízemeletes tömbök vannak többségben, de ugyanúgy találhatók négy, illetve hatemeletes épületek is. A lakások száma: 7 163 db. A lakótelepen működik bölcsőde, óvoda, általános iskola és gimnázium is. Található itt még postahivatal és két templom is.

The estate was built in the 1980s, earlier there was vineyards. The idea of incorporating was given by the '70s housing shortages and a nearby prefab factory. The ten-storey houses more are in the majority, but also can be found four or six-story buildings. Number of the flats: 7,163 pcs. The estate has nursery, kindergarten, primary school and secondary school as well. You can find post office and two churches also.
