A Kassai úti laktanya (egykori Szabadság út) része volt a századfordulón épült huszárlaktanyának. A II. világháború után Gábor Áron laktanyának nevezték és az 50-es évektől szovjetek költöztek be az épületekbe. Ez idő alatt a további objektumokat húztak fel. Majd a kivonulást követően az Egyetem hasznosította a területet és az épületeket, valamint további, újabb, modern épületekkel gazdagodott az immár Kassai úti Campus. Itt található az Informatikai Kar, Közgazdaság- és Gazdaságtudományi Kar, a Népegészségügyi Kar, az Állam- és Jogtudományi Kar, a Campus Hotel, a Tudományegyetemi Karok Gazdasági Igazgatósága, az Egyetem Gazdasági Főigazgatósága, valamint kulturális céllal a Lovarda.

The former military campus on the Kassai street was built at turn of the century and it was part of the barrack cavarlyman. After the world war II. the military campus called Gabor Aron and the Soviets moved into the buildings. During this time additional objects were pulled up. After the Soviets extraction the area and the buildings were utilized by University of Debrecen. Here can be found Faculty of Informatics, Faculty of Economics and Business Administration, Faculty of Public Health, Faculty of Law, Hotel Campus, Centre of Arts, Humanities and Sciences – Directorate for economic and the Riding Hall for some cultural events.
