The cache is a small lock 'n' lock container with a few small trade items and a geocaching wristband for the FTF. Bring your own pen. The cache could be wheelchair accessible with help over the grass. Note: Since the cache was placed, the cache location has grown up a bit and one might have to do about 6 ft. of bushwhacking.
The cache is placed at Zion Cemetery. The Zion Lutheran Church, mother church for other congregations in Central Missouri, was organized in 1843 with a log church built in 1845. It was replaced by a brick building in 1879, which also served as a school. In 1906, a new church was built, using brick and the balcony from the old church. Some time after 1856, the log parsonage was built. It was later replaced by the two story structure which stands next to the church now. The church and parsonage are now privately owned.
Adding an interesting note from the geocaching log of Deutsch: Wilhem Mohr is buried here. His half brother was Joseph Mohr, who in the early 1800's, wrote the lyrics to Silent Night in the little town of Arnsdorf, Austria. CONGRATULATIONS TO LRIG FOR THE FTF!
