Round-2-it Traditional Cache
Maz&Misty: Due to the time it is taking to fix the bridge I have reluctantly decided to archive this one. Sad because this was the first one we put out.

Where Glevum Way goes underneath The Old Pump House Bridge.
This is the first cache that we have put out and hopefully not our last!
The Glevum Way is a long distance footpath route around the outskirts of the City of Gloucester. It was devised by the Gloucester Ramblers Group as part of the RA Diamond Jubilee celebrations. Glevum (or, more formally, Colonia Nervia Glevensium, or occasionally Glouvia) was a Roman fort in Roman Britain that become "colonia" of retired legionaries in AD 97. Today it is known as Gloucester.
The Old Pump House Bridge, of course goes over the Old Pump House, which used to raise river water from the Severn and feed it along a pipeline to Gloucester Station. As you will see, this is a fine Victorian brick building but has sadly suffered neglect over the years.
This area is prone to be muddy after rain, however the magnetic cache has been placed high enough not to be subject to flood water.
Well done to The Amazings for the First To Find and we hope you visit again soon.
