Lake Frances Preserve - This area is gorgeous; you won't regret the time it takes to get here.
This is a relatively new 3,000-acre nature preserve with hiking and equestrian trails, as well as an active cattle grazing lease. There is plenty of chance to see wildlife and this cache will take you only a small way into the trail system. If you have some time you will probably want to adventure further. Just don't bother the cows and close gates behind you if you open them. The gate at the road stays open 8am to 5pm with a cattle guard you drive over that keeps the cows inside. I thought this went without saying, but don't go past the "Authorized Vehicles Only" sign if your vehicle is not authorized.
