We'd suggest that you park by the CCC Museum and take the Beaver
Lake Trail out to the cache. You will have to bushwhack the last
500-600 feet. The easiest way is from the site of the Old Mill.
You'll end up hiking about 2.5 to 3 miles round trip depending on
how well you hold your course.
You can also do it from the Old Mill Bicycle Trail with about
the same off-trail hike. Although it is a relatively long way from
the trail, the forest is fairly easy to traverse. If you intend to
return the way you came in, you might want to mark the point where
you go off-trail -- the woods can be confusing.
