In Golden Ears Park. Go to the very end of the road, across the bailey bridge and head to the farthest corner of the parking lot. There is a horse coral here and a path that heads up into the bush. This is the connector to the East Canyon Trail. Your Destination is an easy 4.5 kilometers up river. It will take about 45 minutes to an hour. Wear appropriate footwear as there can some wet sections in the winter and early spring from mountain runoff.
There are few places that are as beautiful and serene as this little piece of paradise. Come see where Conky loves to hike and spend a sunny day on the river gazing up at the majestic peaks that surround this special getaway. Bring lunch and maybe a good book and plan to settle in for the afternoon. A great destination for a bike ride or come on up on horseback as this was at one time the location of a camp where riders came up and spent the night in a teepee or one of the small cabins that were once here. The camp is now gone but it is still a fantastic place to hike in and camp for the night, as you will discover when you visit. The Parks Board has provided an outhouse here but everything else is compliments of Mother Nature This is one of the best sections on the river and the trail goes on much farther if you wish for a longer hike and more exploring.
The cache is in a medium size plastic jar with "whatever" kind of stuff inside. This jar is also Conky's home and he would love you to take a picture with him to post when you log in your visit.
