Welcome to the listing of Tennessee's VERY FIRST T.I.N.Y. geocache!!! 

 


One thing that I have continually noticed about the Chattanooga caching community is how they (particularly Super_Nate!!!)continually complain about how overall, geocaches are just too big and too easy to find. Quite frankly, I couldn't agree more...and evidently, Jeremy Irish holds the same opinion.

In a video release (click on "Related Web Page" linkk above to see for yourself) dated 01 April 2013, he announced the launching of Geocaching's newest cache size: the Teentsy Infinitesimal Nucleic Yocto geocache, or T.I.N.Y. for short. I couldn't be more excited! For way too long, micros (ugh! How large!) and nanos have been way too easy to find...now these T.I.N.Y. geocaches will definitely fit the bill, radically changing for the good the geocaching experience.

As soon as I saw the video release from Jeremy, the figurative wheels started turning in my head...when and where could I place a T.I.N.Y. geocache? I scoured my ready-to-go geocache bag, but alas, found my smallest container slighty bigger than the advertised T.I.N.Y. size. However, since T.I.N.Y. geocaches are currently out of stock, I have placed the absolute smallest container that I could find, and this will certainly qualify as a T.I.N.Y. geocache size until T.I.N.Y. geocache containers are not out of stock and I can order an 100 pack for myself. I know that the Chattanooga caching community will be slightly dissappointed, but rest assured that when official T.I.N.Y. caches are available, this geocache will be replaced with the official size! 

Actually,, when I ran a search, I learned to my dismay that this is the ONLY T.I.N.Y. geocache in Tennessee, and the second ever in the world! I then realized that surely I must remedy this situation...and what an honor and privilege to have Tennessee's first T.I.N.Y. cache here in Collegedale, cache capital of Hamilton County! I eagerly wait the memorable logs and multiple favorite points from crazy cachers as they hunt--perhaps in vain--for this landmark, milestone geocache placement...

I really feel like T.I.N.Y. caches are the next big thing in geocaching.....
