Geocache Description:

Nice big tree along Dupuis Powerline Grade. Where might the cache be?

Please pull over to the edge of the road to let other vehicles pass. Watch for horses, vehicles, and wild animals.

I have climbed more trees as a geocacher than I ever did as a kid. Of course, growing up in Florida there are so many palm trees and slash pines that lack the branches for climbing. I have had fun climbing these trees and at last I can give one back.

Watch for thorny vines as you try to make your way to and from the trunk. Getting into the tree may be more difficult than getting up the tree.

As with all tree climbing caches, you need to put your name on the logsheet to claim a find. Please do not claim a find just because you saw it from the ground, unless you are there with a friend/teammate who can do the climbing for you! This cache is rated T4 and has the Tree Climbing attribute for a reason.

Cache is placed with permission from SFWMD. Dupuis is closed seasonally for hunting (usually during Sept-Nov and March). Dogs are not permitted in Dupuis.
