Danish Festival is a four day festival that is celebrated the third full weekend in August. If you are interested in staying in the area to enjoy all of the festivities, there are local accommodations. However, they do fill up very quickly for this busy weekend! There is limited parking at Tower Park, however, there is parking available nearby at Tower Mountain or you may always park along the street.
Registration will begin at 2:00 p.m. at the park.
We will be holding a Geocaching 101 for any newcomers. (So, if you have friends that are interested in learning more about geocaching, please bring them along.)
There will be seven caches placed for the event, so bring your GPSr’s along. These caches are designed to introduce the many varieties of caches that one might encounter while out geocaching including different size containers and different styles of hides. They should all be fairly easy to locate.
For the seasoned veteran cacher: You may begin hunting for the caches or hang around to see if you can learn something new.
For the not-so-seasoned cachers: We have volunteers available to help you along your quest.
We will reconvene at Tower Park at 4:30 p.m. for a meet and greet and some eats. . We will be providing hot dogs, chips, and drinks.
