Just off the trail in this jungle, I discovered what seems to be an ancient tribal hitching post, where I can only imagine these people from a civilization long vanished must have stopped for a fresh cup of joe and discussed the day's schedule of hunting armadillo for bartering purposes.
The land is owned by the Southwest Florida Water Management District and managed by the Polk County Environmental Lands Program. Please sign in at the front and mention you are Geocaching. Respect the land, the animals, and have a good time.
