This geocache is located on Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest. “A permit or any other type of authorization is not needed to hide a geocache on the Chequamegon-Nicolet” per the Forest Service website.
This cache was placed to help meet one of the requirements of the new Boy Scouts of America Geocaching Merit Badge. Scouts will be placing a second cache nearby in mid-April to meet a second merit badge requirement.
The cache location is near a survey section corner on the forest boundary. Please respect the adjacent private landowners.
