A Mystery At Boyd Pond
As I have walked more & more around the trails at Boyd Pond, I have found some interesting items. This particular cache will lead you to some interesting areas on the trail system.
The final cache is a regular size container with room for trade items. Permission to place the cache has been granted by the park supervisor.
To locate the final location, you will need to follow these steps:
A.) Go to the coordinates listed on the cache page. Answer this question: How many platforms are in the tree?
B.) Go to reference point B. How many swings (with handles) are there? Add 3 to that number.
C.) At reference point B, how many ropes are hanging from the other line? The ropes to which I am referring are the ones with knots on them
D.) Use the answers above, go to these coordinates: 33° A7.5B -081° C7.C68. What type of grant was used? Use the number of characters in the Grant type
E.) Go to 33° 27.51D 081° 47.DD8. Count the number of words on the paragraph directly below "Things to Ponder".
F.) Subtract 2 from the number of swings (with handles) found at reference point B
G.) Final location is 33° 27.5F 81° 47.39E
The coordinates for all stages have been averaged over several outings in the park. Even with that, the tree cover may still make the coordinates bounce.
Do not go to the area just north of the trail. That area is private property, and there are signs posted. All areas of the cache are within the park and not on the private property!
Park is open from dawn until dusk.
