Ah, the Magical Ministik indeed. For me, the magic of geocaching is the how these little hidden treasures lure, beckon, and sometimes outright taunt me out to explore new places while I'm finding caches. And in a big, sprawling place like the Ministik those explorations always present yet more trails and paths to explore. That leads to more exploring, more hiding, and eventually, finding someone else's caches hidden while finding the caches I've hidden. And so it goes.
This cache container, a spanky ammo can (containing only one dead moth when I opened it for the first time) was picked up as a prize at the CARW 2013 event, for a "way out there" cache hidden for the event in the Ministik. I thought it was only fitting that the prize be hidden in the Ministik too, this time borrowing from the name of the second annual Ministik Hike event hosted by Viajero Perdido.
This one's hidden along a very cool section of trail that's flanked by a number of small meadows and small ridges. I've had the pleasure of walking along this path in all seasons now and it's absolutely amazing to me how much the hiking experience changes during different times of the year.
I hope you enjoy your hiking experience along this leg as much as I have.
