This is part of the NHL series . The Edmonton Oilers were founded in 1972. In 1972 they were the Alberta Oilers in WHA. During the 1973-79 they were the Edmonton Oilers in the WHA. In 1979 the Edmonton Oilers joined the NHL. They play at the Rexall Place in Edmonton Alberta. The have won the Stanley Cup five times in 1983-84,1984-85,1986 -87,1987-88 and 1989-90. They have had many great players: Wayne Gretzky, Mark Messier,Glen Anderson,Grant Fuhr,Paul Coffrey,and Jari Kurri.
