An "evil" nanocache, right off a major hiking/biking trail, also on a bus line and along the border of Rock Creek Park. Could be an easy cache and dash if you are in a hurry. Bring an extractor and be aware that while the coords are accurate, they bounce badly in this area. N 38 58.455 W 77 3.189
In the Northwest DC neighborhood of Barnaby Woods live two rare unicorns. They guard the edge of Rock Creek Park and who knows, maybe they wander the woods at night. This is an easy location to find, but the cache itself is a bit diabolical. The nearby hiking/biking trail can take you right from downtown DC -- going by the zoo -- all the way up to Rockville, Md's Lake Needham. The woods are full of flowers in the spring, poison ivy in the summer, and deer year-round. You can spot all sorts of wildlife in this urban wooded setting, including foxes, raccoons, hawks and even the occasional wild turkey. Please replace very carefully and do be careful of the numerous muggles. You will not need to tread on private property to grab this cache. Bring your own pen, of course.
**Congratulations to Unusual Suspect and GeoB3A for a joint FTF!!***
