Geocache Description:

Sunday April 21st - 10AM until ~1PM
Walk the Henry Hudson Highway cleaning up as we go - Adopt-a-highway!

Cache-In-Trash-OutOver the years the Henry Hudson Trail has been home to over 140 caches. It is time we gave a little back by cleaning up a few miles of the trail. We will be starting at 10:00 at the Henry Hudson Trail Keport Parking area and endeavoring to cover about 5K to the East Creek where the bridge is out and we wont be able to go much further. If anyone wants to arrange a car-shuttle for that morning make mention of it in your logs.

A CITO or "Cache-In-Trash-Out" event is where Geocachers gather (Cache-In) to clean up an area (Trash-Out). Cleaning up the Henry Hudson Trail will mostly entail picking up discarded bottles and coffee cups from passers by. Bring your own set of sturdy gloves and a comfortable pair of walking shoes. This section of the trail is paved and mostly flat. The trail, formerly known as the Bayshore Trail (1989), formerly known as the Seashore branch of the Central Railroad of New Jersey (1917), originally known as the Freehold and Atlantic Highlands Railroad (1890), is now named after Henry Hudson who explored the Raritan Bay back in the 1600s.

We'll provide trash bags. You bring a smile and a pair of gloves. Hope to see you there!
