This is a great little picnic spot at the Northern end of Waihi Beach. Not many people are aware of this location, so I thought I would put a cache here to give you a reason to explore.
You can either access off the beach by taking the track and stairs just to the left of the rope swing or you can park up at Pohutukawa Park and walk up the top of the road and then follow the metal road around to the picnic area. Please be aware that the access to the cache is a short distance into the bush and conditions underfoot are generally quite slippery. Please exercise caution.
