Penguin's Park to Park Tour! Mystery Cache

This cache has been archived.

Penguin Tracker: The container has been removed.

It is kind of sad this one must go, however it has had a fun run. It would not be fair to those who did the entire challenge now that over half of the series is gone. Thank you to everyone who did the park to park tour. I enjoyed reading your logs and I am glad you enjoyed all the parks this has taken you too.

Happy Caching!!

Geocache Description:

Cache is NOT at the posted coordinates!!! The terrain rating fot the final is a 1.5. BYOP and log extraction device. Bonus points to the people who bike to each and every park, like we have! This cache complies with the geocaching policies for Portland Parks & Recreation (PP&R) properties. Please respect park hours when caching.

Congratulations Warnock3d for the amazingly fast FTF, great job!!!

This cache was inspired by one of my favorite caches, Amazing Race GC35YGQ by Geospaz, Chris and Randy. Thank you for the fun guys, I hope you will like this one! Also a thank you to Geocrater for some guidance.

Penguins love parks, especially this penguin! I spend all summer biking from park to park, playing for countless hours with Mama Penguin and Papa-Penguin. I would like for you to come join in on the fun too! Bring the kids if you can or enjoy the walk at each park on your own, with a friend, a loved one or even your dog! This also would be a good cache to do, to help get your fizzy.

This is a three star puzzle not because I am telling you where to get the coordinates to solve it, that alone would make it a one star puzzle. It is due to the "average" difficulty in finding each cache. The terrain however is a five star, because you will be ALL over the Portland metro area, going from cache to cache......hopefully enjoying the parks a long the way too!

I have the start at Jamison Square. You do not need to go there, but I would highly recommend that you do. Especially on a hot summer day! This is one of the parks we would often go to, on our Park to Park Tour, bike rides. I wanted to be sure to include it somehow and this seemed fitting. The end (GZ) will take you just down the hill from my number one favorite park in the city AND YES I even have biked there too!

So here is what you have to do. Go to each cache listed below. At the top of  the log and / or on the container of each cache is a number. Plug that number into the corresponding set of partial coordinates below to get the answer.....have fun!

The Final: N 45 31.ABC,  W 122 42.DEF

GC43P15 = A = 0
GC46678 = B = 9
GC4790R = C = 7
GC48631 = D
GC488AE = E
GC48TZX = F

Parking right at GZ, please make sure you replace cache back exactly as found so groundskeeper does not accidently remove it. You now have to pay for parking at GZ, unless perhaps you are quick enough?This cache complies with the geocaching policies for Portland Parks & Recreation (PP&R) properties. Please respect park hours when caching.

You can check your answers for this puzzle on GeoChecker.com.
