Geocache Description:

Letošnje leto se zima kar ni in ni hotela posloviti. Mi pa smo že nestrpno pričakovali novo geocachersko sezono.
This year winter didn't want to say goodbye. We couldn't wait for a new geocaching season.



V bližnjem gozdu smo postavili snežaka, da bi lažje opazovali, kako se sneg že tali. Snežaka smo izdelali iz dveh snežnih krogel. Večja je imela dvakrat tolikšen premer, kot manjša.

Vsak dan smo šli v gozd in opazovali našega snežaka. Ugotovili smo, da se krogli talita po površini, zato je bila hitrost taljenja krogel sorazmerna s površino (preostanka) krogel.

Prištejte k podanim minutam zemljepisne širine (na tri decimalke zaokroženo) decimalno vrednost razmerja med preostankom manjše krogle in njenim začetnim volumnom v trenutku, ko se je stopila polovica volumna večje krogle. K podanim dolžinskim minutam pa prištejte (na tri decimalke zaokrožen) dvakratnik omenjenega razmerja. Tam je naš snežak.

V gozdu je sprejem GPS signala slabši, zato prilagamo še sliko našega snežaka, da ga boste lažje našli. Hitro ga boste prepoznali po njegovem prikupnem nasmešku in skavtskem piskru, ki ga nosi namesto klobuka ;) No, pa seveda po velikem nosu, ki v tem nekoliko spominja na tistega, ki ga nosi njegov stvaritelj ;)

(Ta pa je resna: Ne zaokrožujte nobenih vrednosti pred končnim rezultatom!)



Njegovega nasmeha in dolgega nosa ne boste zgrešili.


In the wood we set up a snowman. So we could easily observe how the snow melts. Snowman was made from two snow balls. Bigger of them had twice as big a diameter as the smaller one.

The balls were melting ... only at the surface. Speed of melting was proportional to the surface (of the remaining) of the balls.

Calculate the ratio between the remaining of the small ball and its original volume in the moment, when half of the volume of the bigger ball has melted. Decimal value of this ratio add to the minutes of latitude of given coordinates. To the minutes of longitude add twice value of named ratio. There is our Snowman.
