Geocache Description:

Florida Welcomes You is a series of Geocaches located on the east side of the canal between the Allanburg Bridge and the Port Robinson ferry. 

There is a Parking lot for the Welland Canal Parkway Trail on the west side of the canal by the Allanburg Bridge. Parking Ordinates N 43° 04.572 W 079° 12.685. OR You can park near the Ferry Dock at N 43° 04.225 W 079° 12.610. 

After doing the series you can catch the ferry and return along the paved Trail to the Parking lot. The free ferry service operates from May to September.

This cache is not for everyone, although monkeys don't have a spotter, all geocachers should.

For over 70 years, Rhesus Monkeys have lived along the banks of the Silver River in North Central Florida. The monkeys were introduced into the area by a tour boat operator in the 1930s. Spotting the monkeys can be a highlight of canoe trips in the Silver River State Park. The monkeys have lived a peaceful existence in the wild.
