Geocache Description:

This sport started in the mid 1880s.  But it wasn't until around the 1920s that the idea became a little more acceptable.  By the fifties and sixties Roller Derbys were something that only the strong partake in.  As usually it resulted in broken bones and black and blue bruises.   But as time we on in the 1980s to the 1990s, Roller derby began to fade away as to violent of a sport.     But now since 2010 Roller Derbys have become big again and not in a small sense but a huge sense.  Because in 2011, Toronto had held the Roller Derby World Cup, in which the USA won.  The Next is timed for in 2014, and the location has yet to be announced.            But as it is a sport and a newly re-found sport there is some history and something to look forward too.
