Congrats to childeRo1and on the FTF! This fun and very challenging Geocache will make for a great afternoon but wear your hiking boots. Very scenic river overlook once you get to GZ. I must warn you that this is a very difficult cache due to very loose terrain use caution when walking/climbing to the cache. no special tools needed just bring your hiking boots and GPS. There is a nice safe and big place to park your vehicle before you get to the first waypoint.
The location of this cache is hidden in a place where Ravens and Eagles will nest. The rock that you will see is all sandstone and over many years the wind and water has carved huge holes back in the rock. There is a nice little waterfall coming over the top of the rock that you can use to cool down on a nice hot summers day. This has been one of my favorite locations in hammond for a long time and i finally got around to getting a cache there.
This is a hard cache. I would advise that you not bring pets or children to the cache. Terrain is not child friendly unless accompanied by an adult.
I am not resposible for any injuries your may sustain if caution is not advised.
Cache is in a small camo container. BYOP. When you get to the train tracks go left and walk the tracks. you can cross the tracks and go the hard way if you want but the easiest way to the GZ is walking them. If you take pictures of this location while there please upload them when you log the cache. i would love to see some of the pictures that you take, along with other people that may want to go to the location. THANKS AND HAPPY CACHING!
