This is the 5th cache in a series of caches dedicated to the novel series, Song of Ice and Fire written by George RR Martin, and made popular by The Game of Thrones as seen on HBO.The godswood is usually a small wooded area enclosed by the castle walls throughout the Seven Kingdoms. It is primarily used as a place of worship by those who carry on the traditions of the First Men and pray to the Old Gods. The center piece of the Godswood is usually a single Weirwood with bark as white as bone known as a heart-tree which was planted as a representation of the Old Gods themselves.
This cache is located in the Oxbow Eco-Center of St Lucie County. The Oxbows mission is to foster an awareness and appreciation of the natural world. This is a 225 acre preserve on the North Fork of the St. Lucie River that offers multiple naturally scenic hiking trails, of varying degrees of difficulty. Some bushwacking may be required.
