Geocache Description:


This cache is placed with the permission of the owners of the lovely vineyard here.  Please respect their property hours of 12 - 5 PM Wed - Mon (and during special events). 

This is one of our favorite spots in Botetourt,  located in the town of Eagle Rock.  It's a great place to enjoy a picnic and the gorgeous views.  There is often great music, and the setting is divine.  Our kids love to run and play in the fields, and we enjoy kicking back with a glass of wine and a picnic. 

There are a number of trails running through this property.  This cache is placed along one of these trails.  Starting from the parking area, walk toward the house, then go down the grassy hill in front of the house toward the pond. To the right of the pond is a marked trail called "Cave Trail".  The cache is a short distance off of this trail. 

The cache is located near a natural cave, that local legend says was used by both moonshiners and confederate soldiers in the past.

Enjoy the hunt and the beautiful location.

You are looking for a medium sized plastic container with plenty of room for swag or TBs.
