Geocache Description:

The cache is a 4 oz. camo'd plastic jar about 2.5" high and 1.75" diameter. Room for a log and a few very small items. Bring your own writing implement. Located alongside a snowmobile trail. About 3 mile travel from a good parking area where there is already a cache (not mine).

After attending the 2013 Mid-Winter event in Long Lake, I decided that I really liked winter caching, particularly by snowmobile. I checked for winter-accessible caches, but didn't come up with too many. I decided that if at all possible, any new caches I placed would be winter accessible.

This is the second winter-accessible cache I placed, taking advantage of great extended winter conditions. It is the first of many I plan to place in Lake Pleasant and the surrounding area. I had hoped to get one more out by snowmobile today but ran out of time.

Depending on conditions, you may be able to walk to the cache on the snowmobile trail in the winter, however x-c skis or snowshoes are probably a good idea. If you go other than by snowmobile in the winter, BE CAREFUL. Snowmobilers will not be expecting anyone on  the trail. If you go by snowmobile, please be sure to stop completely off the trail to search.
