An open air urinal in a very public place. No I am not taking the piss - it is really quite true. But don't relieve yourself here - this is just a wee bit of history.
The railway workers needed somewhere to go just like all do. But I suspect that when the need arose back in the day that this trough was a tad more discreet than it is now. These days the site is home to the Australian Technology Park and gladly I have never seen it in use.
The cache is magnetic micro. It is a 5 to 10 minute walk from Redfern station depending on how fast you move. I wouldn't advise it at night as there is lots of security and they will probably wonder what you are up to.
